Everything you need to know about the platform and how it works.
What is Tender Australia?
Tender Australia is an employment matchmaking service for Support Workers and Service Providers. Support Workers can create a free profile, where they highlight their work experience, training qualifications and interests, to help match them with the Service Provider in need of those services. Service Providers pay a monthly subscription, where they can view, and bid on Support Workers who fit the needs of their clients.
How does Tender Australia work?
It’s easy! 1. Support Workers create a free profile in minutes, with no documents to upload. 2. Providers search, and are matched with recommended Support Workers, based on the Provider’s preferences. Providers can then bid on the Support Worker’s base hourly rate amount by putting in their own offer amount. 3. Support Workers choose the Provider and the offer they want to accept and continue the interview process with the Provider.
Does accepting an offer from a Provider guarantee employment?
No, accepting a bid offer from a Provider does not guarantee employment between the Support Worker and the Provider. Both parties will continue the interview process, which may or may not lead to, future employment opportunities. When a bid match is made, an agreement form, including the agreed upon base hourly rate, is shared with both parties.
How much does it cost to use Tender Australia?
For Support Workers, it’s 100% free. No catches or hidden costs. Tender Australia wants Support Workers to feel valued for their hard work and be paid a rate that is reflective of their experience and training credentials. For Service Providers, there are several monthly subscription levels to choose from, based on your hiring needs. More information can be found in the Pricing section.
How do I create a profile?
Each individual user first creates a user account, which allows them to then create either a Support Worker or Provider profile. After account verification, you can choose to create a Support Worker or Service Provider profile. You can only create one Support Worker profile per account, but you do have the option of linking multiple Service Provider profiles to a single account. Please note that all Service Provider profiles are independently verified before being made public.
As a Support Worker working on your Certificate III in Individual Support, can I create a profile?
Yes! Providers are looking for Support Workers who are actively working towards completing their Cert III in Individual Support, and are encouraged to create a profile. There may be opportunities for placement with Providers to take place.
What information do I need to create a Support Worker profile?
To complete a Support Worker profile, you will be asked to confirm that you have the following documentation, which will allow your profile to be created, and displayed for Service Providers, in the Support Worker Pool: Australian Work Rights, active First Aid training, NDIS Orientation and Induction Modules completed, active Police check, active Working with Children check. If you do not have these documents, information will be shared as to where these documents can be obtained.
Do I need to add a photo of myself to my Support Worker profile?
No, you can choose to keep your profile picture blank. However, it can be a helpful tool for hiring Providers to see a picture of the person that they would be bidding on.
Is there a mobile phone app for Tender Australia?
Not currently but we are looking to launch an app on Apple Store and Google Play by October, 2024.
