Tender Australia was formed in 2024 by several members of the extended Mazurek family, who wanted improved care for their family members who were working with Support Workers.
It was clear after meeting with a range of Support Workers, that they work extremely hard to provide the best quality of life for their clients. However, burnout, lack of training and low pay can cause them to leave the NDIS sector, resulting in limited quality of life options for our loved ones. In hopes of keeping the best Support Workers in the industry longer, while looking to empower them even more in their selfless role, Tender Australia is looking to turn the standard business model on its head and give Support Workers the power to choose a Provider they want to work with. Allowing Support Workers to create a detailed profile, highlighting their experience, training qualifications and base casual hourly rate they’re looking to earn will give hiring Providers more information about the person who will be in the care of their clients, and take the guess work out of looking through hundreds of resumes for the right person!
Reed Brown
GM, Marketing
After hearing from family members of the challenges around finding and maintaining good Support Workers, Reed was eager to bring his over 10 years of marketing and advertising experience to help launch Tender Australia. Reed’s passion for relationship building, problem solving and helping others allows him to talk with a wide range of Participants, Support Workers and Providers to better understand how Tender Australia can optimise the platform to make the NDIS community that much better. He is brother-in-law to Melanie, cousin-in-law to Audra and friend to Rod.
Audra Mazurek
Business Advisor
Audra has had over 20 years of experience through the NDIS for the support of her daughter. Having this Lived Experience of the daily challenges Participants face provides great insight into how important having the right supports are. This has led Audra to Tender Australia, to help Providers connect with the best matched support workers for their clients.Audra plans to use her experience to bring together good Support Workers and forward-thinking providers to support each other, recognise each other’s skills and grow as a sector to turn support work into a well-paid career for the benefit of her daughter and all the participants within the NDIS.
Rod Farr
Business Advisor
Rod has worked with the NDIS sector over the past 18 years, focusing on recruitment and Participant and Support Worker relations. Rod is also a NDIS Participant and has been assisted in his daily life by Support Workers for the last 25 years due to a water accident in 1999. Rod relies heavily on his team and he knows the importance of what a good Support Worker can do to his overall quality of life. Rod joined Tender Australia as an Advisor because “in most instances, a disabled person’s day doesn’t start until a Support Worker gets to your home and a good Support Worker can make a lasting impact on your life and goals. I have experienced first-hand over many years how hard it is to recruit Support Workers and feel Tender Australia can better match Providers and Support Workers, and speed up the recruitment process in a cost effective way.” Rod is an active community member enjoying all forms of sports, previously an SANFL footballer and past duel Paralympian, Rod credits his support staff for their assistance in helping him achieve these goals.

Melanie understands the challenges that come with recruiting and retaining support workers with the right experience and qualifications, and has seen firsthand the value a good support worker can bring to the life of a participant. She believes that by joining Tender Australia as an Advisor, she can channel her firsthand knowledge and passion to better support Providers and Support Workers to connect with each other allowing better support for families and participants.
